Body of Water:
Embodying the Elements
August 1-8, 2026
MASTATAL, COSTA RICA
Body of Water is a six day immersion into the Water element that lives within and without.
Water governs our emotions, our lymph, our sensuality, our intuition.
When we reconnect with it, we soften. We flow. We create. This retreat is an embodied reclamation of the feminine and the womb space through ritual, movement, nourishment, and connection to land.
Come restore your inner waters.
This retreat is for you if:
You feel a deep longing to reconnect with nature and remember yourself as part of the living world.
You are tired of understanding your healing and are ready to embody it.
You are curious about the Water element and want to explore how it moves through your relationships, emotional landscape, physical body, and sense of self.
You are craving time away to slow down, soften, and listen.
You want to experience plants, food, and land as living teachers.
You are drawn to embodied practices that help you move, breathe, and feel fully alive, rather than perform or push.
You desire a space where you can play, create, rest, and be held by community, by nature, and by the wild waters of Costa Rica.
You want to travel authentically and immerse yourself in a rich local culture and ecosystem off the beaten track.
“The Integra Collective in itself created a new collective of women that will be forever bonded from an amazing week long experience of joy, friendship, love and learning . I still get goosebumps thinking of how amazing the people were, the Farm, the women-led businesses we interacted with…. and all the naked swimming !! I love you guys !!
— Layne, 2022 Costa Rica Convergence Participant
Meet the Water element.
Mastatal, Costa Rica
Body of Water unfolds in the tiny jungle village of Mastatal, nestled in the shadow of La Cangreja National Park. Known for its biodiversity and rich local culture, Mastatal is a living example of regenerative ecotourism and rural Costa Rican life.
We’ll stay at Finca Siempre Verde — “the Farm that is Always Green” — a family-owned farm and eco-lodge rooted in more than 100 years of lineage. The structures are simple and beautiful, adjacent to the rainforest where you’ll pass by tropical flowers and hear the call of red macaws.
Meals are freshly prepared each day using local organic ingredients, much of it harvested locally from nearby farms.
Throughout the week, we’ll immerse ourselves in Mastatal’s rhythms and community, with excursions to a nearby private waterfall, La Iguana Chocolate Farm, and one of our facilitator’s indigenous-inspired herbal farms. These experiential explorations will connect us deeper to the Water element, our bodies, and each other.
This is not a resort experience.
It is a return to land.
Embodying Water
Experience a holistic and transformative journey as we strengthen, balance, and embody Water over six days of guided practices, teachings, and embodiment.
Lymphatic Bodywork
Water moves through us as lymph. In these gentle, educational sessions, you’ll learn lymphatic self-massage and partner practices to support lymphatic flow, detoxification, and nervous system regulation. These offerings are guided by Abbey Cmiel, Ayurvedic bodyworker and female reproductive specialist of Abbey Joy Healing.
Farm-to-Table Cooking & Herbal Medicine Making
Guided by an Indigenous Costa Rican herbalist, we’ll take plant walks, harvest medicine, and prepare nourishing meals together. Through hands-on cooking and medicine making, we deepen our relationship with the land—experiencing food and plants not just as nourishment, but as teachers, allies, and expressions of living water.
La Iguana Chocolate
A short walk from our lodging lies La Iguana Chocolate, a regenerative cacao farm-to-bar chocolatería rooted in land stewardship and craft. We’ll tour the farm, taste cacao in its many expressions, and paint the flavor notes, awakening creativity, sensuality, and pleasure—essential qualities of the Water element.
Waterfall Immersion
We’ll hike to a private waterfall in Mastatal, immersing our own bodies of water into the living waters of the land. Through guided ritual and free swim, we’ll invite release, renewal, and deep presence in these pristine waters emerging from a natural spring just upstream.
Retreat Schedule
Each day unfolds in a balance of structured practice, community immersion, rest, and integration. We’ll be early to bed and early to rise, letting the rhythms of the jungle guide our days.
Arrive in Costa Rica and land gently. We’ve booked accommodation for our group at Vista Canyon Inn just outside of San José for a shared overnight pause before we journey together into the jungle.

What Past Participants are Saying
“I’m always surprised by how powerful being witnessed can be for self and collective healing…regular immersion in feminine, nature-focused, heart-sharing spaces feels vital for self balance. I’m always grateful to broaden the way I can connect with nature, self, loved ones, and patients. Thank you Integra for this work you are doing to help us feel seen, included, integrated, and shining our brightest!”
-Sinead, 2024 Participant
“The learning of the elements was much more insightful and enriching than I thought it would be. I am coming away with not only a deeper understanding of myself but of other people and relationships. My deep feeling after this retreat is that truly, we all need to be celebrated for who we are, as we are all unique make-ups of the five elements. I feel that I’ve had true reflection and connection. I am grateful for the emotional release I have experienced, and I’m so grateful for the peace in my heart and my readiness to share some of this knowledge with others.
-Pam, 2024 Participant
“I see so much of the elements now in those people I love and interact with — my family, friends, and work partners. Having this understanding of the play of the elements in each of us supports these relationships. The lymphatic massage and womb adjustment was such a profound way for me to ground into my body. For me, it tapped me into my root chakra and earth element. I would describe this retreat as coming home to myself. Women need to be together in community more. It is a powerful feeling to be supported, allowing for all the feels, expression, emotion, and most importantly, to express our femininity.”

In the year of the Fire Horse, we are calling upon the wisdom of Water to ground and nourish us.
Water is the element of the feminine, of flow, intuition, receptivity, and surrender. While fire brings movement, intensity, and transformation, water teaches us how to soften, listen, and remain deeply rooted in ourselves as the world accelerates around us.
As life becomes louder and more demanding, many women feel the call to return to the deep inner well: the place where clarity, creativity, and true nourishment arise. When we tend that well, we are able to pour our gifts into the world from a place of fullness rather than depletion.
Again and again on retreat, women share that the hands-on bodywork practices — especially those that reconnect us with the womb and breast spaces — are among the most profound experiences of the journey. These practices invite us to come home to the body, release what has been held, and restore the natural flow of energy and vitality within.
We are all connected by the water that animates every living being. When we tend to our own Inner waters, the healing ripples outward into the collective.

Mastatal does not have reliable cell service. You may want to check if your own provider offers an international plan. It is sometimes available for $5-10 extra. But, before you pay, make sure they partner with Kolbi as other Costa Rican providers are not reliable in the area.
There is wifi at the main house at Siempre Verde. We ask that you use this before or after class and not during meal times. If you want to communicate with loved ones during the course, Whatsapp works well. Building community and staying present to each other and nature is a big part of the course.
If you need constant connection with the internet, this will not be the place for you. We encourage you to take this opportunity to disconnect as much as possible and enjoy the moment!
-
We will be sending out a more detailed packing list to registrants as we near the course!
-
The nearest medical clinic is 45 minutes away. Jenny and Marcos, the owners of Finca Siempre Verde, are trained in Wilderness First Aid and regularly update their training.
Please bring all necessary medications and basic first aid supplies. We recommend looking into travel health insurance, such as INS (Costa Rican based company), or as. a supplement to your own health insurance plan.
